CAUTION: Procedure will require overhead welds within the interior, Extreme care needs be taken to protect the
interior and exterior from weld splatter and sparks
1. Pre­fit components into place to ensure a proper fit.
2. Scribe the roof bow (1) along the bottom edge where it
meets the B­pillar perch (2). This is where two 20mm
MIG weld beads (4) will be placed.
3. Remove bow (1) then grind all contaminants and
coatings off of the mating surfaces within 25mm (1in.)
of the area. The metal should be completely bare
and shiny in appearance, if the metal appears pewter
in color all of the galvanized coating has not been
completely removed.
4. Place 20mm seam welds along the two designated ar­
eas (4).
5. Clean and dress welds as necessary.
6. Apply quality topcoats to the exposed areas.
