54 COLLISION INFORMATION
3 ­ REMOVE SPOT WELDS AFT
4 ­ SECTIONING CUT LINE (FRONT RAIL LOWER OUTER)
Remove the spot welds that join the Reinforcement Bracket (2) to the Lower Rail Outer (1). Remove spot welds from
point of reference (3) to the cut line (4). Cut the Lower Rail Outer (1) along the cut line (4).
NOTE: When cutting the Inner Rail be careful not to
cut the Strut Tower
Remove the Strut Tower Spot Weld (2) that joins it to the
Lower Rail Inner (1). Cut the Lower Rail Outer (1) along
the cut line (3). Measure and cut the service part to the
same location. Reinstall using butt­joints with a 13 mm.
(0.5 in.) weld backers.
