7. If you are installing a memory module, go to step 8. If you are replacing a memory module, open the
retaining clips and gently pull the memory module out of the memory slot.

is inserted firmly and then pivot the memory module downward until it snaps into position.
Notes:
• Carefully handle the memory module by its edges.
• Ensure that the memory module is secured in the slot and does not move easily.

9. Reinstall any parts and reconnect any cables that you have removed.
10. Reinstall the system board shield. See "Removing and reinstalling the system board shield" on page 85.
