Replacing the internal speakers

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 "Read this first: Important safety information" on page 1.
To replace the system board shield, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the computer stand. See "Replacing the computer stand" on page 89.
3. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 94.
4. Remove the system board shield. See "Replacing the system board shield" on page 96.
5. Locate the internal speaker. See "Computer components" on page 29.
6. Disconnect the cable from the internal speaker connector in the system board. See "Parts on the
system board" on page 34.
7. Flex the speaker out of the metal clips. Then, lift the internal speaker to completely remove it from
the chassis.
