STARTING THE ENGINE

Do not squeeze the throttle when starting the engine. If the throttle control
lever is squeezed, the tiller's rotating tines are set into motion and could
cause an accident or injury.
1. Check that the fuel drain screw [2] is fully tightened.
2. Open the fuel cock [1], (horizontal position).
3. Set the circuit breaker [3] to the "I" position (On).
4. Set the choke lever [4] to the "on" position (lever pulled fully out).
NOTE: Do not use the choke if the engine is already warm or if the ambient air temperature is
high.
5. Gently pull the recoil starter handle [5] until you feel resistance, then pull vigorously.
NOTE: Do not release the recoil starter handle suddenly. Hold it so that it is rewound gently.
6. If the choke lever was moved to the "on" position to start the engine, return it to the "off"
position as soon as the engine is hot enough to run smoothly with the choke "off".

MISE EN MARCHE DU MOTEUR
Ne jamais serrer le levier d'accélérateur pendant la mise en marche du
moteur. Presser le levier de commande des gaz mettrait en mouvement les
fraises rotatives de la motobineuse, qui pourrait créér un accident ou des
blessures.
1. Vérifier que la vis de vidange d'essence [2] est bien serrée.
2. Ouvrir le robinet de carburant [1] (position horizontale).
3. Mettre le coupe circuit [3] en position "I" (marche).
4. Amener le levier de starter [4] en position fermée (levier tiré à fond).
NOTE : Ne pas utiliser le starter si le moteur est déjà chaud ou si la température ambiante est
élevée.
5. Tirer doucement le lanceur [5] jusqu'à sentir une résistance, puis tirer vivement.
NOTE : Ne pas laisser le lanceur revenir brutalement ; le ramener à la main.
6. Si le levier de starter a été déplacé en position fermé pour mettre le moteur en marche, le
ramener en position ouvert dès que le moteur est suffisamment chaud.
7. Pour arrêter le moteur, se reporter au chapitre "Utilisation".
