4.4 SYSTEMS WITH ISOLATED RISER EP

In video door entry systems the Exchange cannot intercept the call of the secondary isolated
riser EP ( foot of stairs ) during DAY operation.
If this function is necessary ( e.g.: system without main entrance panel or manned entrance )
the Exchange can manage the DAY/NIGHT operation of the foot of stairs only in systems
where no cameras are installed on the main stretch ( e.g.: common video EP, CCTV cameras,
etc. ). These systems must use item 346180 as riser distribution block and the local EP must
be connected to terminal OUT M of the distribution block.
When the foot of stairs is video, each riser must have a distribution block item 346100,
connecting the EP to the IN terminal, the floor distribution blocks in succession starting from
the OUT 1 terminal and the OUT 2 terminal to the OUT M terminal of item 345180.

4.5 SEPARATE CAMERA

In systems without main EP ( or only used at night ) with entrance manned by the operator, to
increase security the image of the visitor at the operator position, who wants to come in, can
be seen on the monitor of the IU called.
To do this a camera item 39161x or item 39160x must be installed near the operator position.
It views the area in front of the operator and connects the camera to the item 346820 provided
in the system. In this way when the operator calls the IU both the monitor of the IU called and
the camera switch on.
If the porter Switchboard has been configured with a different local address from that set up
in the factory (4000), the same address must be configured in P of item 346820. For correct
operation remember that the Exchange and the camera interface recognise the reciprocal
presence at the RESET, so after changing the device address they must be switched off and
on again.
4.6 TRANSFERRING THE PHONE BOOK FROM IU TO EP
If an IU phone has been compiled ( see sect. 3.1 ), it can be transferred to an EP with
alphanumerical digital keypad call module item 342600.
To do this the Exchange must be programmed according to the procedure described in the
programming chapter, sect. 3.5.1.
