1 INTRODUCTION

First connection

After installing the porter Switchboard, for it to be operative, some functions must be
personalised. This can be done by means of guided menus shown on the Exchange display,
which can be reached from the PROGRAMMING MENU ( chapter 3 ).
The following functions must thus be personalised ( for basic use ):
To modify the language in which the messages on the Exchange display
are shown:
– enter the PROGRAMMING MENU as indicated on page 25;
– with the
procedure described in sect. 3.4.7.
When this procedure has been performed all the messages on the display
will be in the language selected.
