The Trun king Mode def ines t he system behavior w hen no user is tran smi ttin g. In t he case of Message
Tru nking, the mobiles i n the call remain assigned to t he T raf fic C hannel unti l th e call is clear ed do wn. I n
the case of Tr ansmission Trun king, the mo biles in the call are retu rned to the MC C H, wit h a Tra ffic
Cha nnel being assigned each t ime per mission t o t ransmit is gr ante d. In the ca se of QTT, the mobiles
remai n on the Traf fic C hann el fo r a shor t per iod and a re cha nged to t he MC CH if no PTT req uests a re
made w ith in th e QTT Han g Timer P erio d.
