The 3900 TET RA MS T1 S ystem pr ovides feat ures for test ing T ETR A Mo biles i n T1 Test Mode. The
TET RA MS T1 S ystem provide s the foll owin g test capab ilitie s:
T1 Test Signa l gene rati on ( six type s) .
T1 Test Mo de cont rol of mo bile t ransmissio n, b urst type, pow er level a nd R F L oopback.
Tra nsmitte r measu rement s (bu rst pow er, pow er prof ile, burst timin g, mod ulatio n accur acy,
fr equency e rr or) .
Re ce iver me asuremen ts ( BE R, MER , P UE M ) o n T1 Test Sig nals usin g T1 RF Loop back.
Graphi cal displ ays of pow er p rof ile an d modula tion.
Ca ptur e, de modulat ion an d chann el deco ding o f mobil e tr ansmissions (500 0 bur sts).

Some TET RA Mobile s have the ca pabilit y to recei ve and tr ansmit T 1 Te st S ignals. Wh en in T1 T est
Mode, the mobile may r espond to inst ructi ons over t he a ir inter face, or it may requi re a sep arat e cont rol
prog ram.
The TET RA MS T1 syst em pro duces t he T1 Test Si gnals r equir ed f or receiver t esting, and per forms
measure m ents o n the signal s tr ansmitte d by the T ETR A Mobile for confo rmance testin g as d efine d in
ETS I EN 300 394- 1.
The follow ing steps may need to be pe rfor med t o use T1 T est Mod e to test a mob ile:
The Test Set MCC valu e may n eed set to 001 and t he MN C value t o 000 01 so the mo bile
recog nizes t hese speci al te st valu es.
