This chapter pr ovides a fun c tional descr iption of P25 Tru nking Opt ion ( 390X OP T201 ). The P25
Tru nking Opt ion r equir es in st allat ion o f P 25 S ystem Opt ion, 390XOP T200.
The P25 Tru nking Opt ion pr ovides the user wit h fe atur es necessar y t o test Tr unked P25 radio s and
systems. P25 Tr unking Op tion includes all o f th e fe atur es fou nd in the P25 Syste m Option plus t he
follo wing :
P25 Tr unked B ase R adio simulat ion;
Syste m Pla n conf igura tion for defi ning syst em inf ormat ion an d C hannel Plan dat a;
Tw o C hannel selecti on capa bility;
P25 700 MH z, 800 MH z, U H F and VH F freq uency ba nd supp ort.
When the P 25 T runki ng Opt ion is in stalled , a dditio nal display tiles and fie lds ar e enable d t o pr ovide
the user wit h t he abi lity t o conf igur e th e Test Se t t o test Tr unked P25 radi os and systems.
T w o Ch an n el C ap ab il it y
The P25 Tru nking Opt ion en ables t wo tr ansmit a nd r eceive si gnals on the RF C ontr ol T ile. Each
channel can b e conf igure d to diff eren t pa ramet ers such as f reque ncy, modu lation and prot ocol.
When both channe ls ar e ena bled, the secondar y chan nel must be wit hin + /- 2.5 MHz of t he p rimar y
channel (cen ter fr equency) .
The Pr i tog gle bu tton indica tes w hich ch annel is select ed as the Pri m ary C hann el. The example
below show s C hanne l 1 se lected as th e pr imary channel.
