Aud io pe rfor mance testi ng al lows for a subject ive t est of t he audio perf orman ce of a mobile and may be
used t o conf irm corr ect op erat ion o f th e aud io compon ents w ith in it . It is also a usef ul aid to fault
diagno sis to audio component s w ithin the mobile.
Aud io per for m ance t esting is achi eved in the Test Se t by st orin g speech recei ved fr om t he mobi le and
sending it ba ck to th e mobi le a fter a 2 s delay (s omet imes r efer red to as Talkba ck or S peech Loopb ack).
I n a dupl ex call , sp eech is cont inuousl y fe d ba ck to th e mobi le's ear piece; soun ds en ter ing the mobile's
microph one sho uld be hear d f rom t he mobi le's ea r pi ece af ter a de lay of 2 s.
In a simplex call, sounds e nter ing t he mobi le's micr ophone wh ile t he P TT is pr essed shou ld be hear d
fr om t he mobile' s spe aker w hen the P TT is r eleased; this is best ach ieved by speaking i nto the mob ile's
