signal, re gardl ess of the Upd ate Ma nual/A utomat ic set ting on t he TE TR A BS Syste m ID C onfigu rat ion
Tile . The LA value ca n only be de coded f rom the base sta tion RF signal if the MC C /MNC /B CC
para m eter s on t he S ystem I D Conf igur ation Tile are corr ectly config ured to ma tch t he scr ambling
para m eter s used by the base statio n. This is nor mally achi eved by setti ng th e U pdate par ameter to
Aut omatic; how ever, th e Syst em ID pa ramete rs may need to be set manually if t he ba se stat ion is
oper ating in a test mode wher e it doe s not broa dcasting the corr ect System ID para m eter s.
