To regist er the Mob ile:
1. Sel ect B ase Ser vice s fr om th e TE TR A MS C onfig urat ion menu .
2. Set the Pow e r O n R e gis tr a ti on an d Po wer O ff D e-r egis tr ati on pa ram ete rs to Req uir ed.
This set s the r elevant Syst em Info rmatio n para m eter s to command t he Mobile to r egister
at powe r-o n and de- regist er at p ower -of f.
The mobile sh ould regist er automat ically w hen it i s pow ered on and lo cates t he simul ated base
stat ion sign al f rom t he T est S et. Th is may t ake as long a s 30 se co nds fr om po wer -on. U pon
reg istrat ion, th e S SI of th e mobi le a nd i ts sel ected GSS I a re displayed . The r eport ed SSI a nd GS SI
par ameter s are fou nd on the
to the va lues r eceived fro m the mobile.
The mobile ma y att ach gr oup identi ties d uring or aft er r egist rati on, and may subsequent ly chan ge

Tile may corr ect t he pr oblem; how ever, th is may af fect the pow er l evel chose n by t he mob ile.
Failu re t o r egiste r may also be because the signal tra nsmitte d by t he mobi le is outside the captu re
ran ge of the Test Set 's r eceiver. T he T est S et is not able to predi ct th e pow er level the mo bile w ill
use, since t his dep ends on the pow er class of t he mobile and w het her it t ransmit s at its ma xi mu m
pow er or uses open loop po wer contr ol to d ecide th e pow er le ve l to use. Adj usting t he
