Steps
1. IHF or headset audio is OK
2. Make sure opening is clean
3. Check earpiece and contacts
4. Check BTB flex
5. Replace earpiece
6. Replace UI board

Troubleshooting: TDMA noise

Context
TDMA noise is a pulsating buzzing sound, normally caused by a leakage in the RF shielding can. You can
sometimes hear it when your phone is communicating with the net and it is close to, for example, an FM
radio. This signal can also be picked up by the speaker in the phone, resulting in a similar noise.
Steps
1. Make sure the accessory/earpiece is good
2. Check for loose, missing or damaged shielding cans. If so, replace PWB.
Uplink: Make sure the microphone is ok
3.
Downlink: Replace battery
4.
Uplink: Check display frame. If damaged, replace it.
5.
Uplink: Check BTB flex
6.
Downlink: Make sure the antenna is properly tuned. (Use Antenna coupler with docking station adapter
7.
for GO/NO GO testing)
8. Replace PWB

Troubleshooting: Bluetooth audio

Steps
1. Make sure accessory/earpiece is OK
2. Reflash the phone
3. Troubleshoot the Bluetooth module
4. Replace PWB

Troubleshooting: Vibra

Steps
1. Check vibra settings in the phone
2. Check voltage levels on vibra contacts (levels = VBAT)
3. Make sure contacts are OK
