4.2 Assembling the device

The first column element and the head slide are already
installed on the base of the device in the factory.
Perform the remaining assembly with the assistance of
another person. Due to the large overall height, we
recommend placing the components on the floor and
not uprighting the device until it is fully assembled.
Proceed as follows.
To connect the column elements, proceed as follows:

1. Screw a threaded rod hand-tight into the elongated
nut of the first column element.
2. Slide an column element over the threaded rod
onto the first column element.
3. Position the upright connector on the second
column element so that the threaded rod protrudes
from the hole of the upright connector.
4. Screw an elongated nut onto the threaded rod.
5. Tighten the elongated nut.
ATTENTION!
Damage to device due to assembly errors
If the upright connector and cover cap are
mixed up, the device cannot be assembled as
intended.
– When installing the second column element,
ensure that you use the upright connector
(see "Scope of supply" on page 75).
