Appendix E—All Things BACnet
For BACnet objects duplicated within different elements on the PowerScout 24 meter (PS3 meters only
have Element A and therefore objects are not duplicated), remember that elements are designated by
adding 20000 to an object value. Follow the example below:
kW Demand System Maximum (Element A object instance 1000) is at 20000*1 + 1000 or 21000 for
Element B.
kW Demand System Maximum would be 20000*7 + 1000 or 141000 on Element H
CT 1 Type (Element A object instance 12130) would be 20000*3 + 12130 for Element D
There are some objects that only have one instance (not duplicated in each element):
System setup (object instances 10000 to 10999)
Pulse Inputs (object instances 13000 to 13999)
Ethernet setup (object instances 14000 to 14999)

Used for ViewPoint to determine which element is being read & total
number of elements available. Element index multiplied by 256 +
number of elements.
Description
Internal sample count (gets cleared every minute): may be used to
determine if sample read is a newer sample than last read.
Writing 1234 to the present value will reset all the accumulator
objects (kWh, kVAh, kVARh)
Used to change between BACnet and Modbus communications
protocols.
