Splicing the Media (For cleaning/clearing paper jam)
When cleaning inside of the main body or clearing the paper jam, remove the media from the main body. The media
can be cut and connected on the workbench of Roll Winder RW-201.
This section describes how to connect the media using the workbench of Roll Winder RW-201 after cleaning or
clearing a paper jam.
NOTICE
NOTICE
Be sure to join the edge of the media with that of another one. If media to be joined overlaps, it may cause a paper jam.

Connect the Media Using the workbench

To connect the media, prepare the following items.

Cutter knife
-
Masking tape (width more than 30 mm / 1.18")

Overlap the end of the media remaining onto the media that has been cut on the
workbench of Roll Winder RW-201.

Insert the media into the cutter groove of the workbench, hold it with two supplied
magnet bars, and then cut it following with the cutter groove.
After cutting, take the overlapped part away.
Be careful not to cut your hand when cutting the media.
