Cleaning the Softener Filter

There are some fi lters which soften the water in the water tank.
The life span of these fi lters varies depending on the type of fi lter
and the hardness of water.
It is necessary to replace the fi lters regularly.
For further information on the use of fi lters contact the Manu-
facturer.
Note: The fi lters' life span depends on their proper
maintenance and on the hardness of the water
used.
7.4.

Cleaning the Machine Housing

To keep the machine housing clean, use a damp cloth with neu-
tral detergent.
It is forbidden to dismount machine parts when
cleaning them.
8. ACCESSORIES OPTIONAL
(Opale Vapor - Opale Cap)
In the Vapor and Cap machines it is possible to install the Cap-
puccinatore and the steam wand as they are not supplied with
the machine.
Warning: Before installing or replacing machine
parts, make sure the machine is disconnected
from the power supply and it is cold. Danger of scalding.
DO NOT use the machine to dispense steam if the devices
are not mounted.
8.1.

Cappuccinatore (Opale Vapor)

In the Opale Vapor machine it is possible to install the Cappuc-
cinatore (sold separately as an accessory).
• (Fig.18a) - Turn the steam wand clockwise to a vertical po-
sition upwards.
• Remove the steam wand by pulling it outwards.
• (Fig.18b) - Insert the Cappuccinatore by pushing it fully into
the fi tting.
After having correctly installed the Cappuccinatore, you can
proceed to the preparation of a cappuccino as described in
section 5.5.
8.2.

Steam Wand (Opale Cap)

In the Opale Cap machine it is possible to install the steam wand
(sold separately as an accessory).
• (Fig.18b) - Remove the Cappuccinatore by pulling it out-
wards.
• (Fig.19a) - Check that the steam wand is equipped with the
relevant spring.
• (Fig.19b) - Insert the steam wand by pushing it fully into
the fi tting. The steam wand must be inserted pointing
down.
Warning: The steam wand must be fully inserted
into its seat. It can come out due to pressure.
After installing the steam wand, beverages can be heated and
milk can be frothed as described in section 5.4.
