Operation via the control panel

The HTC 650 can be operated manually just as previous
models.

The Emergency Stop on the machine

Only use the Emergency Stop switch, "EM-Stop" in
emergencies.
Pressing the emergency stop switch stops all electrically
driven equipment on the machine such as the motor that
runs the grinding head.
As long as the emergency stop switch "EM-Stop" is
pressed in, the machine cannot be started. Reset by
turning the emergency stop switch 5° so that the switch
pops out again. The machine is now ready to be restar-
ted.
Do not use the emergency stop to shut down the grinder
as this wears out the contactor.

Start - up Procedure

Providing that the points under the "Ready for start" sec-
tion on Page 20 are checked, the following applies:
Check that all knobs on the machine's control panel
are switched to off.
Set the On/Off switch on the machine's control pa-
nel to "On". The control lamp showing "Power" turns
green.
See "Standby" section on Page 20.
Start the grinding head using the Start/Stop control by
putting the switch in "Start" position.
Where necessary, adjust the rotational speed of the
grinding head using the "Speed knob" on the control
panel.

Overload

If the grinder suddenly starts using too much power the
"Overload" lamp on the operator panel lights. The grinder
automatically shuts down after a short time if this is
ignored. Check what caused the overload and fix the fault
before operating again.
The positioning of the weights may have an adverse
effect on the maneuverability of the grinder.
Put them in back or up position, see Pictures 2-3 on
page 17, to reduce the load on the grinding head.
