3-2.36 Mounting the alternator
(1) Mount the adjuster on the fresh water pump, the
distance piece on the gear case, and then the alter·
nator.
(2) Adjust V-belt tension with the adjuster, and tighten the
mounting bolts.

Fit the starting motor in the flywheel housing.

3·2.38 Mounting the turbine
(1) Mount the turbine on the exhaust manifold.
NOTE: First make sure to tighten the turbine lube oil
return pipe.
(2) Mount the lube oil pipe (lube oil cooler-turbine).
(3) Insert the rubber hose at the· end of the lube oil return
pipe (turbine-oil pan) into the elbow on the oil pan,
and mount with the hose grip.
(4) Mount the intake rubber hose (turbine-intake
manifold).
