Connect to your Prestige Using Telnet
The following procedure details how to telnet into your Prestige.
Step 1.
Make sure your computer IP address and the Prestige IP address are on the same subnet. Refer to
the Setting Up Your Computer IP Address appendix.
Step 2.
In Windows, click Start (usually in the bottom left corner), Run and then type "telnet
192.168.1.1" (the default IP address) and click OK.
Step 3.
For your first login, enter "admin" in the login field and "1234" in the Password field.
Step 4.
After entering the correct password you can use the commands to do configuration.

Connect to Your Prestige Using the Console Port
Connect to the Prestige console port using a terminal emulation software. A computer with terminal
emulation software configured to the following parameters:
VT100 terminal emulation
No parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit
3.3.1 Initial Screen
When you turn on your Prestige, it performs several internal tests as well as line initialization. After the
initialization, the Prestige asks you to press [ENTER] to continue, as shown.

The option is a 4-byte dotted decimal value.
