Working

Height Adjustment of Side Brooms
The height adjusting knob enables the
side brooms to be set to suit the surface
being cleaned.
Turn the knob to the required
N
setting:
Setting
Application
1 - 2
for flat surfaces
3 - 4
damp leaves, sand, uneven
surfaces, e.g. exposed
aggregate concrete
5 - 8
Readjustment to compen-
sate for bristle wear
Side broom bristles must just rest on the
ground. Setting the contact pressure too
high does not produce better cleaning
results, it increases wear and reduces
the battery running time.
38
Guide Roller
The guide roller makes it easier to
control the sweeper along edges, e.g.
next to walls or curbs.
Hold-Down Device
The hold-down device can be pushed
down to keep the bristles close to the
ground when sweeping along edges,
e.g. next to walls or curbs.
Push down knob on hold-down
N
device.
Thermal Overload Cutout
The thermal overload cutout interrupts
the power supply if the motors are
overloaded, e.g. if a side broom or roller
brush is blocked.
If the overload cutout has interrupted the
power supply:
Switch off the machine – position 0 –
N
and remove the battery.
Remove blockage from side brooms
N
or roller brush.
Wait about 30 seconds for overload
N
cutout to cool down.
1
The thermal overload cutout for the side
brooms resets automatically, while the
overload cutout for the roller brush has
to be reset manually by pressing the
switch (1).
Fit the battery and switch the
N
machine on again – set on/off switch
to I.
