Removing and Replacing the Battery

Battery date codes are explained in the Battery Date Code section on page 19
Before handling the battery, please observe the battery cautions listed below.
Do not handle batteries with wet or sweaty hands.
Do not short the positive or negative terminals
Non conductive tweezers or grasping tools are to be used for battery connector
manipulation, assembly, and disassembly.
1.
Remove the battery cover as described in the procedures.
2.
Lift the bottom end of the battery out of the battery compartment as shown in
in Figure 6.
3.
Slide the battery in the direction of the arrow to remove the battery out of the
battery compartment as shown in Figure 6.

There is a danger of explosion if the Lithium ion battery is replaced incorrectly.
Replace only with the same type of battery or equivalent as recommended by the
battery manufacturer. Dispose of used batteries according to the manufacturer's
instructions.
4.
To replace, insert the top end of the battery into the battery compartment with
contacts facing downward.
5.
Press the bottom end of the battery into the battery compartment.
6.
Replace the battery cover as described in the procedures.
