14.7 Disassembly and Replacement

[A] Fuser unit
1.
Open ADU (MD-0101) if it is attached.
2.
Detach upper right cover R. (See Fig. 2-6-14)
3.
Detach 2 connectors, remove 2 screws, and
remove fuser unit.
Note: The fuser unit is to be attached by follow-
ing the procedures described below.
1. Be sure to fit the bosses of the fuser
unit with the holes of the copier side
properly. (See Fig. 14-7-1)
2. Be sure to pass the heater thermistor
harness through the groove of the fuser
unit. (See Fig. 14-7-1 1 )
3. Pass the heater lamp harness through
the space between the top and bottom
of the ribs. (See Fig. 14-7-1 2 )
4. Connect the heater lamp harness and
then connect the heater thermistor har-
ness. Then, wire the heater lamp har-
ness on the right of the heater therm-
istor harness and bind them with the
cable tie. (See Fig. 14-7-2)
5. The colors of the harnesses of the fus-
er connector and relay connector are
as shown in the fi gure on the right.
(See Fig. 14-7-3)
