7.2.4 FUNCTIONS

7.2.4.1
Cold-start function
The cold-start function enables the UPS to start even if there is no mains
voltage. The battery should be fully charged.
For your own safety, never switch on the UPS if the Protect NAS mains
plug is pulled out.
7.2.4.2
"Green Power" function
The Protect NAS range has a "Green Power" function that saves energy
and preserves the battery. The low voltage disconnect function is
activated when the UPS is in battery mode. As soon as little or no load
is connected to the UPS, the UPS automatically shuts down after
5 minutes to conserve energy. The UPS restarts as soon as mains
voltage is available again. The "Green Power" function can only be
activated via the CompuWatch software supplied with the UPS.
7.2.4.3
AVR (automatic voltage regulation)
The AVR function is activated if the mains input voltage is insufficient. It
increases input voltage if it is too low or decreases it if it is too high. This
protects the connected load from more significant voltage fluctuations.
