Deleting still pictures

This is for deleting still picture files
recorded on SD cards.
The deleted files cannot be restored.
Deleting files one at a time
¬ Rotate the mode dial to select

Press the
playback.

When the confirmation message
appears, select [YES], then press
the joystick.
Deleting multiple files from the
thumbnail display
¬ Rotate the mode dial to select

Press the

Select [SELECT] or [ALL] and
press the joystick.

≥ When [ALL] is selected, all files on the SD card
except the locked files will be erased. Proceed
to step 5.

Select the file to be deleted, then
press the joystick.

The selected file is encircled by a red frame.

≥ When the joystick is pressed again, the
selected file will be canceled.
≥ Up to 8 files displayed on a page can be set in
succession.

To continue deleting other files
Repeat steps 3-5.
To complete editing
Press the MENU button.

∫ Deleting still picture files recorded on an
SD card by other products
A still picture file (other than JPEG) that cannot
be played back on this unit may be erased.
≥ You can also delete files by pressing the
MENU button, selecting [PICT. SETUP] #
[DELETE] and then selecting [SELECT] or
[ALL].
≥ In case of [ALL], the deletion may take time if
there are many files on the SD card.
≥ Do not turn off this unit while deleting.
≥ When you delete files, use a battery with
sufficient battery power or use the AC adaptor.
≥ Do not remove the SD card while deleting.
