External Linearization

Note on Settings
!
External linearization can only be
performed on verified weighing
instruments when the menu access
switch is open.
– The "external linearization" function
must be assigned to the ) key
(> 2 sec) (menu item 1.9.6 or 1.9.7).
Procedure

Following external linearization,
close the menu access switch and reset
the ) key (> 2 sec) to its previous
function (e.g., external calibration/
adjustment with user-defined weights)
under menu item 1.9.
Zero the weighing instrument
Start linearization
After approx. 2 seconds, the first linearization weight is prompted
Place the prompted weight on the weighing instrument. After a brief pause, the difference
between the measured value and the true mass is displayed.
Store the linearization weight (press ( to cancel)
You are prompted to place the second linearization weight on the weighing instrument
Repeat the steps described above for all linearization weights.
After you store the last linearization weight, you are prompted to unload
the weighing instrument.
Unload the weighing instrument. After a brief pause, the zero point is stored automatically
and the Combics indicator automatically returns to the normal weighing mode.
