MDAe High Capacity Digital Video Storage System
Ensure that the voltage selector switch is correctly set for the country of operation before connecting the power.
Applying incorrect voltage could damage the unit.
Once the correct voltage has been set using the voltage selector switch, and all connections have been made, connect
the power cable and apply power to the unit.
The Setup menu provides access to the following setup options:
• Ethernet Enable/Disable
• Bus Select SCSI/1394
• Auto Delete Mode
• IP Address
The menu system is entered by pressing the Enter key (
cycle through the setup options in turn. More details on the key functions in this menu can be found on page 8.
Notes: The Setup menu will automatically exit after 30 seconds of inactivity. Access to the Setup menu is only available
when the MDAe is offline, i.e. the MDAe is not presently archiving or connected via Ethernet.
The MDAe will automatically reboot if any of the Bus or Network parameters are changed.
ETHERNET ENABLE
Select Ethernet Enable Yes or No. The default setting is No.
BUS SELECT
Select from SCSI or 1394 to enable. Default setting is 1394.
AUTO DELETE MODE
The Auto Delete Mode automatically erases data from the disk drive(s) when it is more than 30 days old. Select Auto
delete Mode Yes or No. Default setting is No.
