JUMPERS
The MDAe can accept up to eight disk drives. The drives are connected either individually or in pairs to each of the four IDE
connector cables. When a pair of drives is connected to a single IDE cable, one drive must be configured as a Master and
the other as a Slave. Configure the Master/Slave settings for each drive using the jumpers supplied with the drive. The
label on the drive shows the jumper settings. If a single drive is connected to an IDE cable, it must be configured as a
Master using the drive’s jumpers.
Recommended disk drives are Maxtor D540X series:
