Keys
You receive two radio control
keys and one emergency key.
Please consult the information on
the electronic immobiliser (EWS)
if a key is lost or mislaid (
Ignition, fuel filler cap, central
locking system and anti-theft
alarm system all work with the ra-
dio control key. Seat lock, stow-
age compartments, topcase and
cases can be locked and un-
locked manually.
The vehicle cannot be star-
ted if the radio control key
is not within range (e.g. key in-
side one of the cases or the top-
case).
It is advisable to keep the radio
control key on your person (e.g.
in a jacket pocket) and to have
the emergency key with you as
an alternative.
Lock the handlebars
Handlebars turned to the right or
left full-lock position.

If the motorcycle is on the
side stand, the surface
of the ground will determine
whether it is better to turn the
handlebars to the left or right.
However, the motorcycle is more
stable on a level surface with the
handlebars turned to the left than
with the handlebars turned to the
right.
On level ground, always turn the
handlebars to the left to set the
steering lock.
Press and hold down button 1.
The steering lock engages with
an audible click.
Ignition, lights and all function
circuits switched off.
Short-press button 1 to disen-
gage the steering lock.
Switching on ignition
Radio control key is within range.
