    ENGLISH 1. INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing this Safescan 2985-series banknote counter. This user manual will help you to get started with your Safescan banknote counter and describes the setup and operating procedures. We recommend to carefully read these operating instructions before starting to use the device.

    • Select the desired pocket capacity to 50, 40, 30 or 20 banknotes using the arrow keys. Press to confirm your selection.     The screen will show various hardware and software version numbers of your device. This info may be required when contacting Safescan customer support. • Press to go back to the main page of the user menu. Press again to exit the user menu.

  • Page 8 During counting, any suspected counterfeit banknote will be placed in the reject pocket. The reject pocket is also used to discriminate banknotes when the device is in FACE or ORIENT counting mode. The reject pocket capacity can vary from 20 to 50 banknotes.
