Introduction
Thank you for purchasing Fakir Herba
Steam Generator which has been
designed and manufactured to give
you many years of trouble-free service.
You may already be familiar with using
a similar product, but do please take
time to read these instructions – they
have been written to ensure you get
the very best from your purchase.
Safety is Important
To ensure your safety and the safety
of others, please ensure you read the
Safety Instructions before you operate
this product. Keep this information in
a safe place for future reference.
• Check the mains voltage stated on the
rating plate corresponds to the local
electricity supply.
• Unwind and straighten the power cord
and supply cord before use.
• Place the appliance on a firm and
steady surface.
• When placing the iron on its stand,
ensure that the surface on which the
stand is placed is stable.
• Keep the anti-cal cartridge and
granules away from children at all time.
• If the supply cord is damaged it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or its
service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
• Wait to cool down the appliance. Empty
the water tank after use.
• The plug of the supply cord must be
removed from the socket-outlet before
the water reservoir is filled with water.
• Keep electrical appliances out of reach
from Children or infirm persons. Do not
let them use the appliances without

supervision.
• The filling aperture must not be opened
during use. Instructions for the safe
refilling of the water reservoir shall be
given.
• Do not open the filler cap before the
appliance completely cooling down.
• Do not allow children touch the
appliance when ironing.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended
when it is connected to a mains supply
outlet.
• Do not use an extension power cord
set unless competent authority has
approved it.
• Do not add perfumed, vinegar or other
chemical liquids into the water tank;
they can damage the appliance
seriously.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water
or any other liquid.
• The iron is not to be used if it has been
dropped, if there are visible signs of
damage, if it is leaking or if it performs
abnormally.
• Do not touch the iron rest during or just
after ironing. It is hot!
• Do not roll the power cord or supply
cord around the iron unit or base
console for storage until it has cooled
down completely.
• Do not attempt to open the cabinet or
dismantle any parts from the appliance,
there is no serviceable part inside.
