TROUBLESHOOTING

GRIP WARMER AND THUMB WARMER DO NOT OPERATE.
Check the "IGNITION" fuse.
Refer to "FUSE INSPECTION" in CHAPTER 2.
FAULTY
OK
Check the tail/brake light bulb and lighting system.
Refer to "LIGHTING SYSTEM".
OK FAULTY
For SXV70SJ:
Check the condenser.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
OUT OF SPECIFICATION
OK
Check the stator coil and pickup coil.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
OUT OF SPECIFICATION
OK
Check the main switch.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
NO CONTINUITY
OK
Check the grip and thumb warmer.
NO CONTINUITY
OK
Check the grip warmer switch and
thumb warmer switch.
CORRECT INCORRECT
Check the load control relay.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
OK FAULTY
Correct the connection and/or
replace the rectifier/regulator
and/or CDI unit.
GRIP WARMER SYSTEM
Replace the "IGNITION" fuse.
Replace the tail/brake light bulb and/or
repair the "LIGHTING SYSTEM".
Replace the condenser.
Replace the stator coil assembly.
Replace the main switch.
Replace the grip and/or thumb warmer.
Replace the left handlebar switch and/or
right handlebar switch.
Replace the load control relay.
