Performing Resistance/Continuity Measurements

Disconnect circuit power and discharge all high-voltage capacitors before measuring

resistance, or testing circuit continuity, to avoid damaging the multimeter or the
multimeter under test.
Measuring resistance
1 Press
2 Connect the red and black test leads to the input terminal as shown in
3 Probe the test points (by shunting the resistor) and read the display.
In autoranging mode, the multimeter automatically selects the appropriate
range and the measurement is displayed.
