To send a special alarm*
When a burglar alarm occurs, the exterior siren or bell delays for 15 seconds before sounding.
When a fire alarm occurs, the siren or bell sounds instantly. When a police or special alarm
occurs, the exterior siren or bell sounds instantly, unless programmed to be silent.
* If you do not have a monitored system, these features only sound an alarm at your house if
they have been programmed to be audible.
IMPORTANT
If you have a monitored system and the burglar alarm portion of your system is
triggered, the Honeywell Customer Service Center receives a signal and will
take action based on instructions you pre-determined at the time of installation.
Typically, we will call you first to see if you unintentionally tripped the alarm. Next,
we will dispatch the police if we are unable to determine that the alarm was
unintentional. Then we notify the first available person on your Call List. We do
not call you first if the alarm is for Fire or if you have pressed the POLICE button.
If you do not have a monitored system, an alarm sounds in your home and a
siren or bell sounds outside (when installed), but no signal is sent to the
Customer Service Center.
