Belt Maintenance
Inspecting the Reel Drive Belt
Service Interval: Every 1,000 hours
Make sure the reel drive belt is properly tensioned to ensure
proper operation of the machine and unnecessary wear.
1. Turn off the machine and disconnect the battery pack.
2. Loosen the flange bolt securing the belt cover and
remove the belt cover to expose the belt

3. To adjust the belt tension:
A. Loosen the bearing housing mounting nut

2. Reel drive belt
B. Using a 16 mm (5/8 inch) wrench, rotate the
bearing housing to make sure it operates freely.
C. Clean any debris from inside the belt compartment
and from around the compression spring

D. Make sure the compression spring is applying the
proper tension on the belt.

E. Tighten the bearing housing mounting nut.
F. Install the belt cover.
Accessing the Transmission
Cover Hole
Remove the rubber plug
front of the transmission if you need to access the reel clutch.
Important: Do not operate the machine with the rubber
plug removed.
