12. Install the spark plugs and tighten each one to the
recommended torque; refer to
Plug (page 42).
Note: Do not install the spark-plug wires on the spark
plugs.
13. Check the anti freeze protection and add a 50/50
solution of water and anti freeze as needed for expected
minimum temperature in your area.
14. Remove the battery from the chassis, and charge it
fully; refer to Servicing the Battery (page
Note: Do not connect the battery cables to the battery
posts during storage.
Important: The battery must be fully charged to
prevent it from freezing and being damaged at
temperatures below 0°C (32°F). A fully charged
battery maintains its charge for about 50 days
at temperatures lower than 4°C (40°F). If the
temperatures will be above 4°C (40°F), check the
water level in the battery and charge it every 30
days.
15. Check and tighten all the bolts, nuts, and screws. Repair
or replace any part that is damaged.
16. Paint all the scratched or bare metal surfaces.

Distributor.
17. Store the machine in a clean, dry garage or storage area.
18. Remove the ignition key and put it in a safe place that
is out of the reach of children.
19. Cover the machine to protect it and keep it clean.
