Youcan lift a stay-upunit upward
about 6" and it will lock in the up
position.
To reposition the shy-up unit:
@ Replace the drip pan and trim
ring into the recess in the cooktop.
@ Put the trim ring in place overthe
drip pan. The drip pan must be
under the trim ring.
@ Guide the surface unit into place
Plug-in units can bc removed.

To
replace a plug-in unit:
@ First place the drip pan, then the
trim ring into the surface unit cavity
found on top of the cooktop so the
unit receptacle can be seen through
the opening in the pan.
~ Insert the terminals of the plug-in
unit through the opening in the drip
pan and into the receptacle.
@ Guide the surface unit into place
so it fits evenly into the trim ring.
Note: The drip pan must be under
the trim ring.
~ Do not attempt to clean plug-in
surface units in an automatic
dishwasher.
@ Do
not
immerseplug-insurface
unitsin liquidsof any kind.
~ Do not bend the pIug-in unit
terminals.
@ Do not attempt to clean, adjust
or in any way repair the plug-in
receptacle.
Adjusting
oven
T hermosmt
Use time given on recipe when
cookingfirsttime. Oventhermostats,
in time, may "drift" from the
factory settingand differencesin
timingbetween an old and a new
ovenof 5 to 10minutesare not
unusual, Yourovenhas been set
correctly at the factory and is more
apt to be accurate than the oven
which it replaced. However,if you
find that your foodsconsistently
brown too little or too much, you
may make a simple adjustmentin
the thermostat (Oven Temp) knob.
PULL KNO~ OFF OF SHAFT,
LOOK AT BACKOF KNOB AND
NOTE CURRENT SETTING
BEFORE MAKING ANY
ADJUSTMENT.
To increasetemperature,turn toward
HI or WISE; to decrease turn
toward LO or LOWER. Each notch
changestemperature 10degrees.
1. Pull off knob. Loosen both
screws on back of knob. 2. Move
pointeronenotchin desird direction.
Tighten screws. 3, Return knob to
range, matching flat area of bob to
shaft. Recheck oven performance
before making an additional
adjustment.
