TROUBLESHOOTING
Faults
Engine cranks but doesn't start
Engine has too little power
Engine overheats HIGH TEMP
EFI warning lamp (MIL) lights up /
flashes
Engine dies during the journey
High oil consumption
Headlight and parking light do not

Possible cause
Fuel pump control defective
Fuel quality insufficient
Air filter very dirty
Fuel filter very dirty
Fault in fuel injection system
Too little coolant in cooling system
Cooling fins very dirty
Kinked or damaged radiator hose
Thermostat defective
Fuse 4 blown
Defect in radiator fan system
Air in cooling system
Fault in fuel injection system
Lack of fuel
Fuse 1, 5 or 6 blown
Engine oil level too high
Engine oil too thin (viscosity)
Fuse 2 blown
Action
Check fuel pump control.
Add suitable fuel.
Change the air filter.

Chang the fuel filter.

Read out the fault memory with the KTM diag-
nostics tool.

Check the cooling system for leaks.
Check the coolant level. (
Clean cooling fins.
Change the coolant hose.
Check the thermostat.

Change the fuses of individual power consumers.
