We recommend that you use a booster
seat that combines a cushion with a
backrest instead of a booster cushion
only.The raised seating position will allow
you to position the shoulder strap of the
adult seatbelt over the center of your
child's shoulder and the lap strap tightly
across their hips.

Extreme Hazard! Never use a
rearward facing child restraint on a
seat protected by an active airbag in
front of it. Death or serious injury to the
child can occur.
If you use a child restraint that has a
support leg, make sure the support
leg rests securely on the floor.
If you use a child restraint and a
seatbelt, make sure that the seatbelt
is not slack or twisted.
The child seat must rest tightly
against the vehicle seat. It may be
necessary to lift or remove the head
restraint. See Head Restraints (page 100).
Make sure the child restraint rests
tightly against the vehicle seat. If
necessary, adjust the seat backrest
to an upright position. It may also be
necessary to lift or remove the head
restraint.
