Store Preset

Whenever you edit a Preset (Sound Preset, User Preset or Prog. Preset) you
will, at some point, decide that you either want to save your new Preset or
simply forget it and return to using the instrument as before. A modified Preset
that has not been stored to memory remains intact until you select another
Preset. To cancel a Sound Preset or User Preset change, simply select an-
other Preset. To cancel a Prog. Preset change, return to Preset mode, choose
a different Prog. Preset and everything will be cleared.
If you decide you want to store your Preset into the instrument's memory, the
next step will be to press the STORE PRESET button for an instant.
STORE PRESET function allows you to store the changes you make in the
Sound Presets, the User Presets and the Prog. Presets to the desidered Prog.
Preset locations.
Even if you program all the factory Prog. Presets with new settings, the original
factory ones can be restored at any time with the INIT (restore) function. Be-
fore doing this, however, remember to save your Presets (and any other data)
to disk to avoid losing data that you have painstakingly programmed. Saving
Presets to Floppy Disk is explained in the Disk chapter.
You can also choose not to store your user-programmed Presets to disk by
taking advantage of the battery-backed RAM memory which retains data after
power down. Bear in mind, however, that if the batteries loose their charge, all
your programmed data stored in memory will be permanently cancelled.

To memorize changes to the current Prog. Preset

Use this method to store changes to the Prog. Presets.
1. Hold down the STORE PRESET button for a few seconds.
The display shows a question mark after the Preset name, "asking" you to
confirm the Preset.
2. Confirm the display confirmation request (?) with ENTER.

Save changes to a different Prog. Preset (or create a new one)

Use this method to store changes made to the Sound Presets, the User Pre-
sets and the Prog. Presets.
1. Hold down the STORE PRESET button for a few seconds.
2. Use the Tempo/Data buttons, or the Octave +/– buttons, to select a dif-
ferent Preset location.
The 3 Digit display area will show the selected Preset number (e.g. P45).

Note 1: The changes that you make to a

Presets because they are permanent configu-
rations (ROM) and they cannot be overwritten.
Note 2: The changes that you make to a User
Preset cannot be saved to another User Pre-
set location: you can only save the changes to
same User Preset, or to a Prog. Preset loca-
tion.
Note 3: The changes that you make to a Prog.
Preset cannot be saved to a User Preset loca-
tion.
