    2.2.2 Wearing your FIT SMART To ensure proper data tracking during your activities, fasten your FIT SMART snugly around your wrist so that the optical sensor on the back of the device makes tight contact with your skin and movement of the device during the workout is avoided. You want it to be close-fitting, but not too tight. Wear your FIT SMART away from your wrist bone, not directly on it.

    2.3.3 Syncing Once paired, your FIT SMART will automatically sync with the miCoach train & run app when FIT SMART is on and the train & run app is active and in the foreground of your mobile phone. During syncing, FIT SMART will update the train & run app with any completed workouts and your current daily activity tracking stats. If you made any changes to FIT SMART settings, your daily activity goal, or workouts within the app, these changes will automatically be synced to your FIT SMART.

    3. Using your FIT SMART – main menus Your FIT SMART has seven menu options: Activity Tracking, My Training Plan, Run Workout, Gym Workout, Heart Rate, Bluetooth® Pairing and Battery Status. When navigating through the menus, after the bottom item, the list will continue again from the top. Your daily activity tracking stats can be viewed starting from the time menu.

    3.1.1 Light pipe & goal reached While on the clock and the activity tracking metrics, the FIT SMART light pipe will indicate current progress toward your activity goal. This is based on a percentage of the goal achieved.     Coached workout Coached workouts allow you to get the most out of the miCoach training system. The included cardio workouts vary in intensity according to your workout zones (for more information on workout zones, see section 3.2.4). During a Coached Workout, your FIT SMART displays the color of the current workout zone via the light pipes and the display provides visual feedback to help keep you in the zone and maximize the effectiveness of your workout.

    3.2.2 Selecting a Coached Workout Your FIT SMART can store up to 15 coached cardio workouts which are synced from the miCoach train & run app. Use the side buttons to toggle to ‘MY TRAINING PLAN’. This menu option will not be available until you sync a Coached Workout plan, single/sample workout, or assessment workout from the miCoach train & run to your FIT SMART.

    A score of 0 is equivalent to a walking pace and a score of 1,000 is equivalent to a world record pace. Based on the Run Score you achieve, miCoach provides you with predicted race times for 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon paces. When you are done with your Free Workout, you can check out your workout results on your FIT SMART by toggling through your workout stats*.

    5.2 Viewing metrics during a workout During a workout, you can toggle through your current workout metrics. In the miCoach train & run app, you can define which metrics you want to see, in which order they’re shown, and whether you want to see one or two metrics at a time.

    6.1 Software update One important feature of the FIT SMART is that you can update the software via the miCoach train & run app. Software updates ensure that you always have the latest functions and features in order to get the most out of your FIT SMART.

    Your FIT SMART will tell you when there is less than 20% of memory left to store workouts or activity tracking data. Overall, your FIT SMART can hold up to 10 hours of workout data and 3-4 weeks of activity tracking data (depending on use). Sync your FIT SMART to the miCoach train & run app to free up memory.

    6.3 Rebooting If your FIT SMART stops working, you can reboot it by pressing and holding the center button and the up button at the same time for 5 seconds. Rebooting can be performed in time or workout mode. If you reboot during a workout, your FIT SMART will attempt to save all existing data before rebooting. After the reboot, all your workout and user settings and the correct time should be retained and do not need to be reset.

    6.4 Factory reset Your FIT SMART can be reset to its factory settings (out of box) by pressing all three buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. This action can be performed if you want to have all your settings, workouts and data removed from your device to give it to a friend or a family member, for example, or if your device is frozen up and can’t be operated otherwise anymore.
