Lowering the elevator

If the User counter is set to On (see "User counter" later in this chapter for
more information) the Show User Counter/Show Document Counter and
Reset User Counter will also be displayed on the Idle screen. These options
allow you to select which counter value is being displayed as well as reset the
value of the User counter (the Document counter must be reset by the
scanning application).
• Clear Path — clears the scanner transport of any documents.
• Diagnostics — allows you to run a Print Test, Patch Test, run a scanner
Self Test, put the scanner in Count Only mode, perform a UDDS (ultrasonic)
calibration and perform a Touchscreen calibration.
When Indexing and Batching are enabled, the Idle screen will have addition
options:
Batch icon
Level buttons
• Batch icon: this icon is only displayed when Batching is enabled. It displays
the number of documents to be counted before performing a predefined
action (when Indexing is enabled).
• Level buttons — when Indexing is enabled, the three indexing level buttons
will be displayed: Level 3, Level 2 and Level 1. You can increment the index
level by touching one of the level buttons. During a scan session the level
button that is highlighted is the level which will be assigned to the next
document.
• End Batch option (not shown in screen above) — when indexing is
enabled, an End Batch option will be available allowing you to manually end
the batch.
Use this option whenever you need to make additional room in the input
elevator tray for adding documents to the stack. The input elevator will
descend to the lowest position (750-sheet) when you touch Lower Elevator.
NOTE: This option is not available if Auto Raise is off.
