To improve the area of cut (battery duration) it is rec-
ommended to cut more frequently, raise the cutting
height and walk at a normal pace.
The Example below shows impact of conditions
against run time, for one battery.

To increase the run time an additional battery can be
purchased from an authorised customer service
agent for Bosch garden products.
Maintenance
Switch off, remove isolator key, battery
and grassbox before adjusting or clean-
ing.
Note: To ensure long and reliable service, carry out
the following maintenance regularly.
Regularly check for obvious defects such as loose,
dislodged or damaged blade, loose fixings, and
worn or damaged components.
Check that covers and guards are undamaged and
correctly fitted. Carry out necessary maintenance or
repairs before using.
If the mower should happen to fail despite the care
taken in manufacture and testing, repair should be
carried out by an authorised customer service agent
for Bosch garden products.
For all correspondence and spare parts orders, al-
ways include the 10-digit part number (TYP) from
the nameplate of the machine!

Blade Maintenance

Switch off, remove isolator key, battery
and grassbox before adjusting or cleaning.
Turn the machine on its right side and inspect the
blade; if blunt or damaged, replace.
Use the following procedure to remove and replace
the blade.

Hold the blade 30 using gardening gloves (not pro-
vided) use a spanner (not provided) to remove the
blade bolt 29, blade washer 28 and blade. Fit the
blade, blade washer and the blade bolt. Ensure that
the blade is the correct way up (so that this
bol can be seen located as in figure I) and tighten the
bolt firmly.
In the event of a blade becoming difficult to remove

or fit, insert a screwdriver into hole 26 to lock the

drive. Ensure the screwdriver is removed before at-
tempting to turn the machine on.

Battery Maintenance

Use the following procedures to enable optimum us-

age of the battery:
– Protect the battery against moisture and water.
– Store the battery only within a temperature range
from 0 °C to 45 °C. As an example, do not leave
the battery in a vehicle or in the mower in direct
sunlight.
– Clean the venting slots of the battery occassion-
ally using a soft, clean and dry brush.
A considerably shortened operating time after
charging is an indication that the battery is ex-
hausted and must be replaced.

After Mowing/Storage

Clean the exterior of the machine thoroughly using a
soft brush and cloth. Do not use water, solvents or
polishes. Remove all grass and debris, especially
from the ventilation slots 9.
Turn the machine on its side and clean the blade
area. If grass cuttings are compacted in the blade
area, remove with a wooden or plastic implement.
Store the machine in a dry place. Do not place other
objects on top of the machine.
To aid storage loosen the wing nuts 22 and fold the
handles.

Do not lubricate blade or blade bolt during
refitting.
Switch off, remove isolator key, battery
and grassbox before adjusting or clean-

Ensure cables are not trapped when folding/
unfolding top handles, do not drop the han-
dles.
