VPNremote for 4600 Series IP Telephone Configuration
Downloading the Self Installer Configuration file
In the Self Installer configuration method, the software installation and configuration is started
by your Administrator. Your Administrator has preconfigured the Self Installer file and placed
the file on a network location. Once you have downloaded the Self Installer file, you must
complete the configuration by executing the file.
Use the following procedure to download the Self Installer configuration file:
1. Verify that your computer has connectivity to your corporate network.
2. Navigate to Self Installer configuration file. The location of this file is provided by your
network administrator.
3. Download the Self Installer file to your computer.
4. Disconnect the computer from your corporate network.
5. Physically disconnect your computer from your SOHO.
6. Connect the VPNremote Phone to your computer. See Connecting the VPNremote Phone
to your computer.
7. Navigate to the InstallVPNremoteFor46xx.bat file.
8. Double click the file to execute the Self Installer.
Before the installation process begins, the telephone tries to find a DHCP server. Once
the telephone finds the DHCP server, the installation process begins. Once the process
is complete, the installer displays a finished window on the computer.
9. When you see the finished window, disconnect your computer from the telephone.

0. To complete your installation, you must install the VPNremote Phone into your Small
Office Home Office (SOHO) and use your VPNremote Client user name and password.
