This appliance should be installed following the instructions provided by the manufactur- er and in compliance with all applicable local regulations.

Functional description 3.1 Intended application of the appliance This electric glass-ceramic range is intended to cook food in pots or pans placed on the glass-ceramic cooking surface. 3.1.1 Prohibited use This appliance is not designed to cook food directly on the glass-ceramic cooking surface, as if it were a griddle plate.

Operating instructions 4.1 Before you start using the appliance In the event of breakage of the glass-ceramic cooktop, the appliance must not be used due to electric shock hazard. 4.1.1 Preparing the appliance to operate Remove all packing materials and adhesive films from the range very carefully.

The power indicator light (item 22) will come on. Set the required cooking chamber temperature by turning the operating thermostat knob clockwise (item 20).

General information The main causes for stainless steel wear or corrosion are: • using abrasive or acid detergents, especially chlorine-based products such as hy- drochloric acid or sodium hypochlorite (bleach).

Industrial descaling products can also be used to that end. After rubbing off the stain and rinsing with clean water, an alkaline de- tergent may be required to neutralise any acid compounds left on the surface.

Installation 5.1 General information The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any injuries to persons or damage to property resulting from installation errors or from inappropriate use of the appliance and is not re- sponsible for any faults caused by defective installation. In such cases, the warranty shall be null and void.

    4.2.2004 Rev. 1.0 Installation 5.4 Storage If the appliance is stored in a warehouse where room temperature is below 0°C (32°F), it should be warmed up to at least +10°C (50°F) prior to use. 5.5 Unpacking the unit Prior to installation, remove all packing materials from the appliance. Some parts are wrapped in adhesive film, which should be thoroughly removed (see paragraph "4.1.1 Preparing the appliance to operate").
