Intercom

This feature is only applicable when there are at least two registered handsets, or one
registered handset and one registered headset.
It allows you to make intercom calls, transfer external calls from one handset to
another handset or headset and make conference calls.

4.16.1 Make an Intercom call

1. In idle mode, press

• If you have only one handset and one headset, the screen will show
"calling headset".
• If you have two handsets, the screen will show "calling other handset".
• If you have two or more handsets and headset, the screen will show
"IntercoM to:" Press
or use the dialing keys to enter the device number (1-5 stands for handset 1-5,

or "calling all handsets" (X stands for the number of the destination handset

The selected handset will ring and display "other handset is calling" or "Handset

LED flashes in blue on the selected headset.
3. If you want to answer an intercom call, press
* or #) on the destination handset. The calling handset and destination handset
screen will show "Intercom"; or press tALK on button on the destination headset,
the calling handset screen will show "Intercom".
4. If you want to mute the mircophone during the intercom, press MUte on the calling
handset, the screen will temporarily show "Muted" and the "Mute" icon, until the
mute function is turned off. Press MUte again to turn on the microphone.
5. If you want to end the intercom call, press
on telephone base or charge cradle. The screen will show "Intercom ended"; Or
press the tALK off button on the headset or place the headset on the telephone
base to end the intercom. The calling handset will show "Intercom ended".
NOTES
• Cordless headset cannot make an intercom call.
• Press or MUte on the handset can temporarily silence the intercom ringer.
• Only two handsets or one handset and one headset are allowed for an intercom at
the same time.
