Operation

Back Lighting

The Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) is backlit for easy viewing at night or in low light
situations. The back lighting automatically switches ON every time a key (except
PTT and BOOST) is pressed. It turns OFF 10 secs after the last key is pressed.

SOS Strobe

In an emergency use the UH820SX-NB's high-intensity LED flashlight to flash
"S O S" in international Morse Code.
Press and hold (sql/SOS). A confirmation beep sounds and the LED strobes
"S O S".
Press and hold (sql/SOS) again to turn off SOS strobe. A confirmation beep
sounds.
The UH820SX-NB operates normally when the SOS strobe
is activated. However, the SOS key is disabled during Menu
setting. SOS Strobe turns off when Torch mode is enabled, and
NOTE
when power is turned off.

Torch LED

Press (LIGHT) to activate or deactivate the UH820SX-NB's high-intensity LED
torch light.
Torch setting becomes off when SOS Strobe is enabled, and
when power is turned off.
