Setup: Satellite Setup - Signal Meter
Since the HDTV Digital Receiver is capable of receiving satellite programming from
multiple DIRECTV satellites, the user has the ability to choose one of 3 supported
satellites to receive signal strength and is primarily used during the system set-up
procedure. The HDTV Digital Receiver signal meter uses a horizontal digital signal
strength percent bar meter. The user will have the ability to select which transponder
(1 to 32) they wish to measure the signal strength. The following is the signal meter
screen

In the Sat. Setup menu, press ..... button to highlight Signal Meter. Sub- menu is displayed.

to highlight Satellite.

to change Satellite

Press A ..... buttons to select Satellite A, B or C.
LJ Press ACTION to enter the selection.
LJ Press..... button to highlight Transponder.
LJ Press

button then A..... buttons to choose one of 32 transponders. Select the
transponder that gives you a signal strength of 85%.
LJ Press .... three times to return to SETUP menu.
