Clearing Document Jams

The machine stops once a document jam occurs at the DADF. An error message will be shown on the
display. After you have cleared the jam, load the documents back into the DADF according to the
displayed instructions.
I Document jam at the feeding point of the DADF
The following messages will be shown on the display if the document is jammed at the feeding point
of the DADF.

G The cover will be completely open
when it is in the fully raised position.

Procedure
Press the lever at the cen-
tre of the DADF left cover
and lift it until it is com-
pletely open.
The inner cover will be lifted to-
gether with the left cover.
